1973 huntley & palmer jeremy fisher biscuit tin

A small round Huntley and Plamer tin from 1973 with picture of Jeremy Fisher catching a fish on white background on lid. Red sides. Number 226/2139.
A set of very similar Beatrix Potter tins were produced in the mid-1950s, featuring Tom Kitten, Peter Rabbit and Mrs Tittlemouse, which were intended to contain Iced Gem biscuits. The earlier tins have the Huntley & Palmers logo on the sides. This is one of five Potter tins produced from 1973 to 1978. 'The Tale of Mr Jeremy Fisher' was first published in 1906. The image used here shows Jeremy catching a stickleback - which later gets away, at which the other fishes poke their heads out and laugh at him. Later, he hooks something rather more dangerous ... and ends up returning home with no basket, rod or galoshes.
It is very clean inside and out.
