Unusual and probably a one-off, scratch-built solid wood horse racing game. Measuring 8 x 10” these substantial and elegant solid wooden horses are mounted on fixed stands and painted in 6 different colours and in immaculate condition. They each have very long threads wound round a spool which are attached to the hook and eye and the front of each horse. Each horse is placed in a line at the end of a room or long wide table and the threads are then fully extended as the person walks backwards to the finish line. At the sound of ,“off! “ everyone begins quickly winding in their horse and the first past the post is the winner. A bit like Jaques Ascot game and Chad Valley Escalado, but for the floor. Simple, but great fun!
